The following dua has been
taught by Imam Ja’ffer as-Sadiq [a] to be recited everyday
in the month of Rajab after
the daily prayers.
1. Bismillah hir Rahman nir Rahim
(I begin ) in the name of Allah, the kind and the most
merciful
2. Yaaman arjuhu li kulli khair
He, from whom I expect every good
3. wa aa'mana sakatahu Inda kulli shar
And in whom I look for safety from His anger from every evil
(that I do)
4. Yaaman yu'til-kathira bil kalil
He who gives much (in return) for a little (in good deeds)
5. Yaaman yu'ti man sa'ala
O He who gives what is asked
6. Yaaman yu'ti man lam yas alhu
O He who gives even what is not asked for
7. Wa'man lam yaa'rif hu tahannunan
minhu wa rahma
Although He (Allah) is not remembered: kindness and mercy is
always shown by him

Aa'tini
bimasalati e'yaka jami'a khairid duniya wa jami'a kharil aakhirah
9. was rif anni bimas alati eyaka jamia sharrid duniya
washaril akhaera
And with Your knowledge, avert from me the bad of this world and the bad of the hereafter
10. Fa innahu ghairu man quusim ma’ataita
Because surely what you grant never decreases
11.Wa
zidni min fadhlika ya karim
And increase for me (your goodness) from your grace; O Generous
Then Imam would hold his
beard, shake his finger of shahada, weep and say;
12. Yaa zal jalali wal Iqram yazan na'ma'i waljud yazal manni
watta'ul harrim shaybati alannaar.
The owner of Majesty & Honour, O The owner of Bounties
& bestowal, O the
owner of Blessings & Power, forbid the fire on my
'person'.
