Jamadi al-Thaani 15, 1427 AH: Status of Sayyida Zahra [a]
All praise belongs to the Almighty [swt], the Master of the Universe. Followers of the Ahlul-bayt [a] are indeed blessed with belief in leaders that are the most perfect creations of the Almighty [swt]. How can anyone other than her son, the Living Imam [a], claim to have understood the lofty personality of Sayyida Fatima Zahra [a]? Muslim youth must attempt to study her life and make Sayyida [a] a role model when dealing with family, neighbours, authorities, etc. Some of the incredible virtues of Sayyida [a] include:
The virtues of Sayyida Zahra [a] are endless – lovers of the Ahlul-bayt [a] rejoice when hearing these virtues and those with hatred for the Ahlul-bayt [a] are bothered by such discourse. The virtues of Sayyida Zahra [a] are not hidden concepts; they are available in the hadith literature. One such example is the following hadith:
The Prophet [s] said, “Fatima is part of me – whatever causes her pain causes me pain, and whatever makes her happy makes me happy.” Manaqib Al-Khawarizmi, p. 353.
There are many versions of this particular hadith in history whereby the Holy Prophet [s] has repeatedly equated the pleasure of Sayyida Zahra [a] with his pleasure, and his pleasure is the pleasure of the Almighty [swt]. It is no wonder that Ulema give so much importance to the institution of majaalis and aza since seeking the pleasure of Sayyida Zahra [a] results in obtaining the pleasure of the Almighty [swt].
